This website is things.
I have been a gamer since I first picked up Super Mario World on the SNES, growing up with various consoles, handhelds and PC. I have always been interested in the inner workings of games and how they are created.
So far I have created a few games for the Ludum Dare game jam competition and am slowly working on a few game ideas I’ve had in mind in the past few years.
Film making has always been a major interest of mine, whether it was through amazing Hollywood special effects or the infinitely creative YouTube community.
I experimented with different effects years ago and recently made a small amount of films, being inspired by YouTubers such as Tobuscus and Jacksfilms. I hope to experiment more with video creation in the coming year, including casual videos, special effects, comedy and more.
Way back in 2008, when I was 12, I had many ideas for videos or games but no way to express them. That was until my dad gave me a piece of software known as Blender. From the moment I first opened it up, I started experimenting with it’s many features, from 3D modelling to animating to game engine. Since then, I have used Blender for my animations, games and special effects. To this day I still discover features in Blender that I previously had no idea about.
To be honest, I don’t really know much of the motivation behind the name Developizer. In early 2012, I was looking to start off doing videos on YouTube. My first thought was to do videos relating to game and software development. I was looking around random words and random prefixes, and Develop and -izer clicked together. Since then, I’ve changed my original plan from development to a wide range of things such as short films, parodies, vlogs game development, animation and web design.
